I’ve been awarded Microsoft MVP (2025-2026) again!

Hello, I’m kenji.

I have an announcement. I was awarded the Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) again this year. This is my ** 9th time** receiving the award.

Thank you so much to everyone who always supports me.

What is Microsoft MVP?

When you hear “MVP”, many of you might think of the most valuable player in sports, but the MVP here is a title given to those who contribute to Microsoft’s technical community.

Specifically,

Sharing information on tech blogs and social media
Publishing sample code on GitHub
Speaking at study sessions and conferences
Answering questions on Q&A sites
Technical exchange and collaboration with developers overseas
Participating and posting in communities where engineers connect with each other

It’s a system that evaluates activities like “sharing one’s own knowledge and experiences for others”.

There are awardees all over the world, but the number of people selected each year is limited, and being awarded again is by no means easy. That’s why it is a real honor to be recognized in this way.

What I focused on this past year

This year, I put effort into sharing information with an awareness of making technology “easy to understand” and “accessible”.

Publishing practical sample code on GitHub
Speaking at study sessions and conferences (both domestic and international)
Regular information sharing through tech blogs and social media
Continuous answering activities on Q&A sites
Knowledge sharing on engineer community sites
Communication and joint verification with engineers overseas

Among them, publishing code on GitHub was particularly memorable because I sometimes received feedback like, “I was struggling with the exact same thing, so this helped!” which made me realize that my efforts are helping others with their development.

Also, I received feedback during my event presentations that it was “easy to understand even for beginners”, which served as a good opportunity to think about “what makes an effective technical explanation?”.

Looking towards next year

The evolution of technology is incredibly fast, and just keeping up with it is tough. Even so, I believe there is great value in delivering real knowledge as “primary information”, such as the actual experiences I gained from trying things out and the points where I stumbled.

Next year, I want to take on the challenge of publishing “visually easy-to-understand technical content” incorporating videos and diagrams. I hope to increase the kind of output that can even slightly resolve someone’s “I’m stuck!” moments.

Finally

The title of MVP is ultimately just one milestone.

I will continue at my own pace, without overdoing it. But while making sure to be of help to someone.

“This saved me when I was looking it up” “This sample worked!” “This talk was easy to understand”

I want to continue being the kind of engineer that people say these things about.
