How to Change Mac's Copy & Paste Shortcut Keys to the Same Settings as Windows

We introduce the procedure to change modifier keys from System Preferences to match copy & paste shortcut keys to Windows style (Ctrl key based), which is convenient when using Mac and Windows together.

Introduction

When switching between Windows and Mac, the frequently used keyboard shortcuts like copy, paste, and undo are different. This post introduces a method to match them.

Setup Method (macOS Ventura)

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Select Keyboard
  3. Select Keyboard Shortcuts
  4. Select Modifier Keys
  5. Assign the Control(^) key to “⌘ Command”
  6. Assign the Command(⌘) key to “^ Control”
  7. Click Done

That’s all.
