Here is how to create a shortcut to lock your computer.

It is convenient because you can lock your computer by simply double-clicking the shortcut created on your desktop.

How to Create

1. Right-click on the desktop and select New > Shortcut

2. The Create Shortcut screen will appear. Enter rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation and click Next

3. Enter the shortcut name Lock Computer and click Finish

4. Change the icon of the created shortcut

Right-click the created shortcut and select Properties

Click Change Icon

Select the yellow padlock icon and click OK. Click OK again to close the properties.

That’s it.

Double-clicking the created shortcut will lock your computer.

You can also lock your computer by pressing the Win key + L key.

*Note: No confirmation dialog will be displayed when locking the computer.
